Fast Weight Lose Tips - 10 Health Rules in Weight Loss Management

Fast Weight Lose - Just like anger control, fitness maintenance is also an important factor in shaping up one’s great physique. Stress can be a cause of why people tend to eat too much or get discouraged from working out. This leads to a health dilemma in the long run. Once health is threatened, your life is never the same.

Your mind must be too busy thinking about what kind of approach you should follow in order to manage or lose some pounds. For a start, why not learn these 8 health rules in weight loss management? In that way, you can map out your future health program appropriately without harming your own wellbeing.

1. Rule 1 states that you need to eat the required calories per day. Overloading yourself can be the cause of overweight. It’s said that you ought to deduct 200 calories in a day so that you can drop 20 pounds a year which is more or less 2 pounds per month.

2. Rule 2 declares that you ought not to daydream about skipping morning meals. Breakfast is the most significant to take in. Take it not beyond two hours since you get up from bed.

3. Rule 3 encourages that you must eat more breakfast instead of taking in more calories at night. A midnight snack will not help you. It will only give you more stored fats to break down.

4. Rule 4 says that you should not deprive yourself from eating whole grains, veggies and fruits. Get yourself out of shopping for processed canned goods and oily dishes.

5. Rule 5 points out that you should opt for slow lose pounds rather than sudden weight loss. There’s greater chance of gaining pounds back if you’ve lost them so abruptly rather gradually.

6. Rule 6 utters that you must cut down on beverages like shakes, cold coffee, alcoholic drinks, smoothies and sodas in can. They add up some body weight.

7. Rule 7 endorses that fiber and cereals are to be strongly present in your menu every meal. You must eat at least three variations of food during breakfast, lunch and dinner.

8. Rule 8 tells that your body requires feeding at least every four hours unless you’ve had enough on your prior meal. If you do a morning exercise routine, you can consumer a bit of your breakfast before you start exercising and finish it up after your workout time.

9. Rule 9 shares that over-the-counter energy bars and power drinks have calories that your body doesn’t necessarily require. Take them only when body calls desperately.

10. Rule 10 suggests that you must resist on eating fast food items. Fried and saucy foods are high-caloric.

If you are more or less fed with the basic foundations and rules of fitness, you know your way towards managing your weight and getting a shapely figure.

Increase the Number of Pull-ups You Can Do By 50% in One Day

Pull ups are hard, but they are one of the few true tests of strength. I say this because some powerlifters can bench 600 or squat 800, but they also weigh 300+ and can barely manage 5 pull ups. This is one of the few exercises where you can measure relative fitness by comparing the ratio of the number of pull ups completed to bodyweight.

Some of you might get mad at me, talking about powerlifters training for strength rather than endurance, but the fact of the matter is that when I was powerlifting I could still do 15 pull ups at 195 lbs.

Now, let me take you back to high school gym class; the year was 1993, I was 15 years old. Mr. Buatti the gym teacher, who happens to bare a striking resemblance to Coach Buzzcut, called my name to stand up in front of the class and do an many pull ups as I can. The football jocks each knocked out from 10 to 20 and the wiry tough kid with only 3 fingers on one hand completed 14 of them. I got 3. It was humiliating.

Now we come back to the present. Recently I started doing pull ups again after a year layoff. On my first set, I got 5 reps. A week later I was up to 8 reps. Just yesterday I did a set of 11 reps. But I want more. I have done 18 pull ups before; I have also done 5 pull ups with a 45 lb plate hanging off a belt. So, how can I get back to that place? How can YOU get to that place?

The Pyramid Pull Up Strategy

This is the description of a little program that I have used to increase my pull ups quickly in the past.

Here are the instructions:

  1. Start by doing one pull up.
  2. Rest for 10 seconds, but don’t hang there. Stand on something and take all the tension off your arms and back.
  3. Do one pull up more than you did in the previous step.
  4. Go back to step 2 and repeat until you can’t complete the required reps.
  5. Take a break for 2 minutes and do it again. Complete 2-3 sets.

You might feel weak because normally you can do 10 or 12 pull ups in a set, and you finish this exercise with a set of 6. We need to look at an example to see why this is so effective.

Normally I could do 3 sets of 11, 9, and 7 reps for a total of 27 reps at bodyweight. Using the pyramid I ended up doing sets of 1,2,3,4,5,6 then 1,2,3,4,3 and 1,2,3,1 for a total of 41 reps at bodyweight in nearly the same amount of time. That’s nearly a 50% increase in the number of reps in just one day!

Which protocol do you think will force your body to adapt and grow stronger?

Try completing a pull up pyramid twice a week for 1 month then see what your new 1 set max is. Over the course of 4 weeks I have gone from 5 reps to 11 reps by doing the pyramid once a week and 1 regular set of pull ups every other morning.

Office of the future boosts weight loss

Washington, Aug 2 (IANS) The office of the future is not only fully functional, it also boosts weight loss and maintains health. Endocrinologist James Levin conceived and innovated the office and then studied the effects of his re-engineering to increase daily physical activity or non-exercise activity thermogenesis (NEAT).

The study, which began in late 2007 and ended in 2008, involved 45 employees at a Minneapolis-based financial staffing firm. Eighteen were studied for weight loss and other changes. Re-engineering included removal of chairs and traditional desk seating, introducing walking tracks, educating and encouraging staff to conduct walking meetings.

It also included replacing traditional phones with mobile sets and adding desks attached to treadmills, introducing games in the workplace, providing high-tech activity monitors, besides advising staff about nutrition.

The 18 individuals lost a total of 71 kg, 65 of that in body fat. Each one of them lost an average of 4 kg - 90 percent of that was fat. Triglycerides decreased by an average of 37 percent. The nine participants who had expressed a desire to lose weight lost an average of 7 kg.

Another key finding - no productivity was lost due to the new environment. In fact, company officials say revenue rose nearly 10 percent during the first three months of the study, and the company recorded its highest-ever monthly revenue in January 2008 - the study’s midpoint.

Wesley Medical Center adds surgical weight loss specialist

Wesley Medical Center has added its first surgeon to a new multidisciplinary team designed to combat obesity.

Ian Villanueva will practice bariatric surgery as part of the Wesley Surgical Weight Loss Program. He will be a member of a multidisciplinary team that will evaluate patients and offer consultations to see if weight loss surgery is right for them, the hospital says.

"We are excited that Dr. Villanueva will be the first fellowship-trained bariatric surgeon in Wichita, as well as the first in the state of Kansas," said Wesley CEO Hugh Tappan, in a statement. "This service will be a wonderful benefit to patients who have attempted weight loss programs and need alternative treatment."

A Chicago native, Villanueva graduated from the University of Texas-Houston Medical School and completed his general surgery residency training at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago. He completed additional fellowship training in bariatric and advanced gastrointestinal surgery at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, N.C. During his fellowship year, Wesley says, Villanueva was the operating surgeon in more than 350 advanced laparoscopic procedures, 200 of which were laparoscopic bariatric surgeries.

In a statement, Villanueva said he is glad to be coming to Wichita.

"I have found Wichita to be a friendly, welcoming city with a small town's charm as well as big city amenities," he said.

Top 10 Weight Loss Recommendations

By Joan Martin

To help you determine your weight loss goals you can use the Body Mass Index to assess overweight and obesity. Body weight alone can be used to follow and to determine the effectiveness of therapy. The BMI is to classify overweight and obesity and to estimate relative risk of disease compared to normal weight.

Here are 10 Weight Loss Recommendations:

1. The waist circumference should be used to assess abdominal fat content.

2. The initial goal of therapy to lose weight should be to reduce your body by about 10 percent from baseline. With success, and if warranted, further loss can be attempted.

3. Low calorie diets (LCD) can be used for reduction in overweight and obese persons. Reducing fat as part of an LCD is a practical way to reduce calories.

4. Reducing dietary fat alone without reducing calories is not necessarily sufficient. However, reducing dietary fat, along with reducing dietary carbohydrates, can help reduce calories.

5. A diet that is individually planned to help create a deficit of 500 to 1,000 calories per day should be an integral part of any program aimed at achieving a weight loss of 1 to 2 pounds per week.

6. Physical activity should be part of a comprehensive losing therapy and control program because it: (1) modestly contributes to weight loss in overweight and obese adults, (2) may decrease abdominal fat, (3) increases cardiorespiratory fitness, and (4) may help with maintenance of weight loss

7. Physical activity should be an integral part of weight loss therapy and maintenance. Initially, moderate levels of physical activity for 30 to 45 minutes, 3 to 5 days a week, should be encouraged. All adults should set a long-term goal to accumulate at least 30 minutes or more of moderate-intensity physical activity on most, and preferably all, days of the week.

8. The combination of a reduced calorie diet and increased physical activity is recommended since it produces a loss that may also result in decreases in abdominal fat and increases in cardiorespiratory fitness.

9. Behavior therapy is a useful adjunct when incorporated into treatment for weight loss and maintenance.

10. After successful weight loss the likelihood of maintenance is enhanced by a program consisting of dietary therapy, physical activity, and behavior therapy which should be continued indefinitely. A maintenance program should be a priority after the initial 6 months of weight loss therapy.

Weight Loss Spa Versus Clinic - Where Should You Go?

By Phillip England

Have you ever considered going to a weight loss spa?

The main difference between a weight loss spa and a weight loss center or clinic is the atmosphere. Weight loss spas exude a more relaxing atmosphere while functioning in very much the same way as a weigh loss center or clinic would.

When you check into a weight loss spa, you will be undergoing a fitness program that involves teaching you how to eat healthier and an exercise regimen made specifically with your fitness goals and needs in mind. Weight loss spas also offer different activities that complement your fitness program. Cooking classes can help teach you about how to properly prepare your foods so you retain much of the nutrients in it. Different activities like swimming, tennis, golf, and hiking, to name some, are also offered to give you a variety of physical activities you can add to your fitness program. Each weight loss spa however, is different from another so activities that are available in some might be unavailable in others.

Before you check yourself into a weight loss spa, be sure to check out the different weight loss spas in your area. As each is different in handling their fitness programs, look for a weight loss spa that is not only best suited for your fitness goals and needs but also appeals to things that you like. If you like ranch living, a ranch-type of weight loss spa might just do the trick for you. Is zen your cup of tea? Then a zen-inspired weight loss spa is the best way to go.

When you go home after you've checked yourself into a weight loss spa, don't think that your want to become healthy was just a phase. Keep at it. Most, if not all, weight loss spas are actually geared towards this purpose. Where health is concerned, a weight loss spa might just be the solution you're looking for.
