Exercises for Weight loss - Weight Loss Tips

There are a number of exercises for weight loss. Most of these exercises are beneficial for weight loss. There are a number of exercises that helps to weight loss.

The different levels of these exercises help an individual to control the weight. The success rate of a particular exercise depends on the rate of metabolism. There are different metabolism rate for different exercise.

Broadly, there are two types of exercises: aerobic and strength training (or anaerobic), and each one contributes differently to weight loss. Aerobic exercise burns fat calories while you are engaged in the exercise itself. On the other hand, strength training primarily contributes to weight loss by helping to increase the speed of your resting metabolic rate (RMR), which is the number of calories your body burns while you are at rest. Your RMR actually increases (i.e., burns more calories) the more muscular your body is because it takes much more energy to maintain muscles than it does to maintain fat.

Walking is perhaps the most effective exercise for losing weight. While many believe that walking is simply not challenging enough, it is in fact exactly the opposite. Walking speeds up the bodys metabolism, which continues for nearly 2-4 hours after you have stopped walking. This continued fast rate of metabolism in the body burns up fat rapidly.Walking is also the easiest exercise to do as not only can you do it anywhere, but it also does not require any special equipment.

The best exercise for fast weight loss is exercise of the cardio or aerobic variety. Ask any fitness expert and he or she will second this opinion. Anaerobic exercise, such as strength training, lifting weights, or short bursts of intense energy do not really burn fat. They are good for building muscle and for losing weight in an indirect way by forcing the body to use fat to help maintain the muscles as they expand in size.

Warm up exercises are a must. You have to prepare the body for a state of activity. It increases the flexibility of the muscles and reduces the chances of injury. Perform these exercises for 5-10 minutes. Slow walking, trunk rotations or low intensity movements are ideal. Now concentrate on muscular strength and endurance exercises. Simple weight exercises combined with push-ups and sit-ups should take care of both the factors.

Lower Body Stretch: Place your feet shoulder-width apart and put your hands behind your back. Now, bend over as if you were going to touch your toes. Hold this position for thirty seconds and repeat the movement ten times.

Bent Torso Pull: Sit on the floor and stretch your legs completely apart, but without straining. Now, bend one knee upward toward your torso. Then pull your chest down to touch your thigh on the bent leg and twist at the waist. Hold this position for ten seconds and then repeat the movement on the opposite side. Repeat this exercise ten times on each side.

In general, cellulite affects only women, although some men could develop the same condition. Even stars and famous people can have the same cellulite problem as you, which explains why there are many beauty centers that teach their clients about effective exercises for cellulite. Once you have started to perform these exercises, you can stop worrying that you will not be able to wear your favorite skimpy beachwear because of the unsightliness of your skin that cellulite causes.

Common exercises for fighting cellulite

Cardiovascular exercise is a useful exercise for fighting cellulite, which includes activities such as jogging, swimming, and even walking. You may also want to try out anaerobic exercises to train your muscles around your hips, thighs as well as buttocks. Anaerobic exercises are effective exercise for fighting cellulite because they help your body to metabolize unwanted fat and thus prevent the build-up of cellulite. Rather than causing excessive fat, the exercise will actually convert fat into muscle tissue and promote cellulite free skin.

Another effective exercise to eliminate the fatty tissue responsible for cellulite on your thighs is to add lunges into your exercise routine. It is important to note that you should perform the exercise accurately to avoid injury. When you are performing a lunge, you should always remain in control and never let your knee to extend pass your toe. Also, you always want to keep your thigh at a ninety degree angle.

Another incredibly effective exercise to fight cellulite in the thigh area is the squat. As previously, it is very important to perform the exercise correctly to prevent potential injury. A ninety degree angle in the thighs and never extending the knees beyond the toes are essential. In addition, it is helpful to contract the muscles of the abdomen when performing this exercise to protect your lower back area.

These two exercises are extremely effective methods to help eliminate the fatty tissue that is responsible for the cellulite that all women distaste. However, in addition to these two, it is also important to train the inner thighs as well. You can achieve this by simply sitting on a chair and placing a pillow between your knees. Then you squeeze the pillow in one to two minute increments. As you squeeze the pillow between your thighs, you will contract the muscles of your inner thighs and it is an effective exercise to fight cellulite in this area.

Benefits of Lower Ab Exercises

Having a flat stomach and a set of six-pack abs is not just for looks anymore. There are benefits such as feeling better and being healthier that goes along with a trim tummy. While you must exercise in order to achieve these dream abs there is also the factor of eating right and losing excess body fat to achieve this goal. The layer of fat above the stomach has to be reduced to allow the abdominal muscles to show clearly.

All of the lower ab exercises in the world will not make any difference without a proper diet and loss of excess body fat. The success of achieving a set of six pack abs is up to eighty percent dependant upon a proper diet.

With lower ab exercises there must be a balance achieved between building these muscles and straining these muscles. This balance is hard for many to achieve.

Leg lifts are a popular form of lower ab exercises that are often done incorrectly. When beginning to do leg lifts you should be completely flat. The legs should be together and lifted to an angle of forty-five degrees. Once at this forty-five degree angle you should hold the legs at this angle for a count of twenty. Lower the legs, rest for ten seconds and pull them up again for another count, only this time just count to fifteen. One more time take a rest and bring them back up and count to ten or until you cannot keep them at the forty-five degree angle any longer.

A variation on the leg lift is the vertical leg lift. While you will still remain flat on your back, the legs are lifted until your toes are pointed to the ceiling. Place your hand, palms down under your butt to hold your balance. Now for the hard part, using the lower abdominal muscles lift, rollup onto your arms and upper back by lifting your pelvis and extending your toes as far as you can towards the ceiling while keeping your legs straight. Slowly return to the starting position and repeat.

Leg lifts are beneficial in the loss of fat as well. Short sets with the legs being held for a shorter period help to achieve this goal.

If you do not care for sit ups as long as you are over thirty you have nothing to worry to about, it is suggested that you no longer perform these exercises. Gravity related exercises will have a better effect for you. Instead it is far better to perform exercises related to gravity.

There are machines available to hold you in an upright position and keep the feet from touching the ground. While you are in this position bring the legs to the chest, hold then release. The back should be kept straight during this to avoid placing strain on the hips and lower portion of the back.

Should any pain occur in the back you should stop the lower ab exercises as this is an indicator of damage occurring to the back itself. Different lower ab exercises will work differently for different people.

Regardless of the amount of lower ab exercises that are done they will be ineffective without the loss of additional body fat.
