Rapid Weight Loss Ideas That Will Have You Shedding Pounds in No Time

There may be a variety of reasons why you need to lose weight fast. Maybe you have a wedding to attend. Maybe you just want to be healthier. Or maybe you just want to look good at the beach in your bathing suit with summer fast approaching. Whatever your reason is, use these rapid weight loss ideas to drop a few quick pounds and look your best!

Walk/Run/Bike

One of the best ways to lose weight fast is to exercise. Running will be the most beneficial to you for rapid weight loss, however, walking and biking can also help you lose weight. By running, you will be burning calories at a much more rapid pace, therefore you'll be losing weight faster.

Biking would be a close second, in that you will be burning a lot of calories and working your cardiovascular system.

Lastly, even walking will help. While walking won't burn near the amount of calories that running or biking would, it will still result in some weight loss. Walking would be a better option for those really out of shape or with knee/leg problems that find it difficult to run or bike.

Circuit Training

If your body is up for it, this is probably the best rapid weight loss idea I can think of. Circuit training is varied exercises that you do repeatedly so your body doesn't get used to doing just one exercise. You see, if you were to only run, you would burn a significant amount of calories when you first started. However, as time goes on, your body would get used to the running and build up a resistance of sorts to the exercise. You would then have to run for longer and longer periods to achieve the same calorie burning workout that you had when you started.

So how can you do circuit training? You can vary your exercising by doing say: 20 push ups, 20 pull ups, 20 sit ups, 20 jump squats and then starting over and repeating the process again, until you have completed each "set" 3 times.

So you would be doing 60 push-ups total, 60 pull-ups total, 60 sit-ups total and 60 jumping squats total. This helps to vary your exercising and work different muscle groups during your workout. You will have to adjust your workouts to fit your body. Some people will be able to do only a few of the exercises and at varied amounts.

Fix Your Diet!

The other way to lose weight fast is to fix your diet. I say fix your diet, because probably 90% of your weight problems are more related to diet than lack of exercise. Don't starve yourself though! This is very bad for your body. And just like running, your body will become used to being starved and go into "starvation mode" where it saves up fat to use during this starvation period, making it even harder to get rid of.

What I suggest is something like circuit training, but for your diet. You see, if you vary your diet, your body can never get used to your calorie intake. If you're on a set calorie diet(or try to eat the bare minimum by starving yourself) your body can figure out what it needs to do to survive, and will not efficiently process the foods you eat. By changing your diet using what is known as a calorie shifting diet, you can "confuse" your body and make it speed up your metabolism to burn fat at a much faster rate!
